Thank you for requesting your free yoga stretches for surfing!

I can't wait to show you how yoga can help you feel better, surf better and live better! But before we get underway, try this right now:

 - sit a little taller
 - relax your shoulders
 - take a slow, deep breath

There...don't you feel better already?

Now remember to never force or strain. These moves should feel good! Modify, adapt or adjust the pose if need be.

Here are a few of my favorite pre-surf stretches. In a few days, I'll send you the link to some of my favorite post-surf stretches and strength and balance poses.

For now, please practice each yoga pose presented here and make it a regular part of your surfing routine...and then email me and let me know how you enjoy them, okay?

Some of my Favorite Pre-Surf Stretches:

Spinal Warm-Up and Posture Check from Yoga for Surfers II. Ahh...this feels great! Not only will your get a nice warm-up for your spine, but you'll also learn how to still with correct posture, which is really important while sitting on your board between sets!

Horse Pose for the Low Back and Hips from Yoga for Board Sports. This is probably my favorite pre-surf stretch. You can do it anytime, anywhere -- no yoga mat needed! P.S. We filmed this at Salt Creek.

Cat Stretches -- From Yoga for Surfers III: Unleashed! Here, I demonstrate how to stretch and strengthen  your back. You'll also see Tom Carroll and Brian Conley. This segment was filmed in Australia and Tahiti. You should have seen Brian charging those Teahupoo barrells! I opted to surf "small pass" instead!

You can do these when you first get out of bed, before you head out to surf, or best of all, after a long session. You'll work out all the kinks and feel great! Remember to let your head move last, and never force or strain.

Check your email in few days for my favorite Yoga for Surfers post-surf stretches!

And, as an unadvertised gift for you, please claim your FREE weekly health and wellness tips from me at www.PeggyHall.com

I never realised that yoga could bring out a sweat! I really enjoy the spinal warm up and pre surf session of vol. 1 as my body responds really well to these energising routines!

Hi Peggy,

I just wanted to write a brief email to thank you for making your Yoga for Surfers 2 dvd.

I am a mum of two small children (3 and 1 years old), and I stopped surfing during both pregnancies just for my own peace of mind. Consequently, I have found myself a little out of condition and have been suffering with a lot of lower back, shoulder and neck pain. I purchased your dvd only two weeks ago and I have already noticed a difference in myself. I've done the whole workout most days since it arrived on my doormat and I'm sleeping better, feeling less stressed and I haven't complained about my neck in over a week.

I thoroughly enjoy doing the yoga workout and, unlike with some other workouts I've tried previously, I require no persuasion or motivation to do it.....my body and mind just want to do it.

Thanks again,
Lucy Tiffin
